EAST BROOKFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – More than a dozen cats and more on the way were rescued after being left behind when their owner was placed in assisted living. Second Chance Animal Services has taken in 16 cats and kittens, including 14 kittens, some just 10 days old. The family discovered them, not knowing their loved one had been caring for so many, and reached out for help. The home did not have air conditioning.
