1 Introduction Conservation depends on reliable identification and counts of flora and fauna (Bickford et al. 2007). Typically, expert opinion, field guides, and specialized tools help to achieve this goal. However, cryptic species, those with phenotypic characteristics so similar they are difficult to differentiate, pose challenges to science and management globally (Hebert et al. 2004; Cook et al. 2008; Trontelj and Fišer 2009; Delić et al. 2017; Struck et al. 2018; Yan et al. 2018).

Street on Jacksonville's Westside renamed in honor of teen who was killed nearly 15 years ago

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Lenox Square on Jacksonville's Westside has been renamed in honor of a Jacksonville teenager who was killed 15 years ago. 16-year-old Tiphne Hollis' murder is unsolved and now considered a cold case. She was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting in March 2010 on Belfort Street in the Mixon town area. Her mother isn't giving up hope and is persistent in keeping Hollis' name alive. Now, the street leading to the foundation and school formed in her honor also bears her name.

Jacksonville man reported missing on Mt. Washington in New Hampshire

SARGENT'S PURCHASE, N.H. — Search teams from Androscoggin Valley Search and Rescue in New Hampshire have been searching for a missing Jacksonville man in and around the summit of Mt. Washington since Wednesday evening. 79-year-old William "Bill" Davis was reported missing around 6 p.m. on Wednesday by his wife. He wandered off the summit of Mt. Washington after taking the Cog Train to the top.
