>>Suspect Arrested After Shots Fired near Concordia College in Moorhead (Moorhead, MN) – Police in Moorhead say a suspect is in custody after shots were fired this morning near Concordia College. A shelter-in-place order was issued about 6 a.m. Officers responded to a residence where a rifle was lying on the front steps. The suspect was found with a gun in the backyard a short time later and detained. Investigators say at this point there are no other suspects.

>>Woman Found Dead in Mississippi River near Winona (Winona, MN) – The Winona County Sheriff’s Office reports a woman was found dead Wednesday morning in the Mississippi River. Authorities across the river in Trempealeau County, Wisconsin, said a body was in the water at Lock and Dam 6. Winona firefighters rappelled down the dam and were able to recover the body. The Southeast Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner’s Office is doing an autopsy and will identify the remains.

>>Driver Arrested for Crashing into Brooklyn Park Group Home (Brooklyn Park, MN) – A driver is under arrest after crashing a car into a Brooklyn Park group home this morning and causing a gas leak. Officers say the vehicle crashed into a bedroom, and all occupants were evacuated. The driver and one resident were treated for minor injuries. Firefighters and CenterPoint Energy crews were able to stop the leak.
