CHICAGO (WGN) — The fate of two Chicago hospitals remains up in the air after a hearing Tuesday was continued until Wednesday. The hearing was scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m. at the Dailey Center, but Judge Patrick Stanton asked attorneys to come into his chambers shortly after he took the bench. Stanton and the attorneys remained behind closed doors for more than four hours.

CHICAGO ( WGN ) — A 12-year-old boy fired shots at a school bus window Monday afternoon on the city's South Side after finding a gun inside a bag left unattended on the bus, police said. The incident happened just before 2:30 p.m. in the 3500 block of South Wallace Street in the Bridgeport neighborhood. Police said the boy found the firearm inside the unattended bag and then fired at the bus window.
