LAKE GENEVA, Wis. (WGN) — At least two children who died in a tragic boating accident on Lake Geneva on Friday were students of a suburban school district. The deadly accident unfolded just after noon Friday as a storm system that officials described as “sudden and severe” moved across Walworth County. According to the National Weather Service, wind gusts reached an estimated 90 to 100 mph, toppling hundreds of trees and damaging several buildings.
