This Audi Quattro Paris-Dakar Prototype Is Actually a Range Rover in Disguise
• By: 13 Feb 2023, 21:22 UTC Now available in just about any Audi out there, the quattro four-wheel-drive system is a whopping 43 years old as of 2023.That's when the company also launched the Audi Quattro (or Ur-Quattro), a midsize car that became a rally legend. The Audi Quattro never joined the Paris-Dakar officially, but that's not to say that the boxy coupe did not ride the African sand dunes. He began experimenting with Audi Quattro shells in 1985 and built no fewer than five different...

Alpine A110S vs. Porsche 718 GT4 vs. Audi R8 RWS
Mid-engined sports cars are great, whether they have four, six or ten cylinders. Here's why... By Matt Bird / Monday, February 10, 2020 Making great mid-engined sports cars isn't exactly priority number one for the car industry right now. For an assortment of reasons that most focussed of sports car concepts, where almost all practicality and usability is sacrificed at the altar of outright handling purity, isn't currently top of the agenda. A shame, if an understandable one.
2020 Porsche Macan GTS | Driven
Expensive but excellent, the Macan GTS drives better than any SUV rightly should By Mike Duff / Tuesday, February 11, 2020 Let's start by lightly skipping over the question of whether any SUV can truly earn a GTS badge, the close-to-the top range indicator that Porsche reserves for the best-handling versions of 'mainstream' ranges - those not fettled by the Motorsport Division.
2020 Jaguar F-Type R | Driven
The most important facelift yet for the Jaguar F-Type - does it still compete in 2020? By Matt Bird / Monday, February 10, 2020 Hands up those who recall the Jaguar C-X16 concept? Quite a looker, even by the exalted standards of Jaguar concept cars. Pleasingly, it very closely previewed an F-Type road car as well; shorn of its concept car fripperies - the hybrid and the fancy glass hatch - the C-X16 was 99 per cent the F-Type Coupe of 2014, much to everyone’s satisfaction.

Audi RS6 Avant | UK Drive
The essential uber-wagon is back. Bow down Britain By Dan Prosser / Friday, February 07, 2020 You can look at the new Audi RS6 Avant in one of two ways: very quickly or very slowly. Whenever I catch a glimpse of the RS6, or see it reflected in a shop window, or look up from my phone to see it in repose beneath a street lamp looking menacing enough to bite the heads of puppies, I think it's sensational. But then I look at it slowly - really study it - and I'm not so sure.
Audi quattro | Anniversary Rise & Drive
The icon has reached middle age. We sent Dan P into the bleak midwinter to pay tribute... By PH Staff / Saturday, February 01, 2020 The Audi quattro is 40 this year. In 1980, it changed the world. Yes, it helped remake world rallying in its own image - but it also redefined the nature of everyman performance cars. The democratisation of power that gave us 400hp hatchbacks can be traced back to Ingolstadt's all-conquering coupe.
Rustproofing a W124 Mercedes | PH Fleet
PH takes the fight to tinworm with a little help from SWRP By Tony Middlehurst / Sunday, February 02, 2020 The average price of a new car has risen by getting on for 40 per cent over the last ten years. Even small hatchbacks are now costing around £15,000, so it’s hardly surprising that four out of five new cars are ‘bought’ on a PCP-type monthly payment basis.
BMW X3 M Competition vs. Jaguar F-Pace SVR
The V8 powered F-Pace won't be with us for long; can it beat the new X3M Competition before it goes? By Mike Duff / Saturday, February 01, 2020 Here's a twin test that a significant percentage of readers are probably hoping both cars could lose. The genre of the performance SUV remains as divisive as Marmite, Brexit or whether the more appropriate response to Love Island is tear gas or Napalm.
