Indiana University-Indianapolis alumnus Brett Scrogham was shot at the Dennison Parking Garage in downtown Indianapolis May 28. He died Saturday as a result of his injuries. Scrogham’s cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head, according to the Marion County Coroner’s Office. The incident was ruled a homicide. Scrogham graduated from IU Indianapolis Kelley School of Business last month with degrees in finance and real estate.

Indiana residents have access to award-winning geographic information systems (GIS) services at the Monroe County GIS Division and the Monroe County Public Library. The Hoosier Character map is one such project, which also received help from the Monroe County Historical Society. The map serves as a database for 19th-century Indiana, showing where people lived and following their paper trails.

Fans of indie singer and songwriter Phoebe Bridgers formed a half-mile line for tickets Thursday after a same-day show at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater was announced at 8:45 a.m. Posters for the four-time Grammy winner’s performance appeared on Kirkwood Avenue shortly after. The box office opened at noon. The concert starts at 6 p.m. The theater seats 577 people, and one attendee estimated 450 people in line by 11 a.m. Bridgers has been playing pop-up shows in other towns to promote her new album.
