ANDERSON TWP, Ohio (WKRC) - In an Eastern Cincinnati Conference rivalry matchup, Anderson defeated Turpin 6-1 to give the Spartans their first loss of the year. The Raptors were led at the plate by Carson Glen who went 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Mac Reed had the lone run for Turpin with a solo homerun in the third inning. Anderson goes for the season sweep when the Raptors host the Spartans on Friday.

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. (WKRC) - Indoor football returned to the Tri-State Sunday as the Kentucky Barrels opened their inaugural Arena Football One season with a win. The Barrels defeated the Michigan Arsenals 34-26 behind quarterback Dalton Oliver, who went 13 of 22 with three touchdowns. Former Middletown and Ohio State standout Jalin Marshall had seven catches for 110 yards and two touchdowns. Kentucky returns to Truist Arena next Sunday to face the Oceanside Bombers.

VESTAL, N.Y. - After a long layoff that began for final exams and extended due to COVID protocols, Binghamton men's basketball (3-6) welcomes UMass Lowell (8-4) to the Events Center for the America East opener Sunday afternoon. The teams will tip at 2 p.m. at Dr. Bai Lee Court at the Events Center in a game broadcast on ESPN+. Binghamton begins its third decade in the America East and will play three of its first four conference games at home.
