Injury Report: Ravens vs Steelers (Thursday)
For the final Two-Minute Drill of the 2021 NFL Regular Season, we’re making this all about Steelers Week. Sure, I bet some of you are …
Ravens Receiving Report: Passing Game Goes Silent in Second Half
Ravens Receiving Report: Week 18 The 2021 Ravens must be approaching some kind of record for narrow losses in a season. Most losses in one-score game or something. Four of the losses in this five-game losing streak have been one-score games. I flip-flop between being frustrated at them for not closing the deal, or proud of them for keeping games close against very tough competition (Packers, Rams). Maybe John Harbaugh feels the same way. But it’s not really a “moral victory” league.
Knee-Jerk Reactions to 16-13 Loss to Steelers
The Ravens fell just short again, losing 16-13 to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 18. RSR staff react to the loss here. Derek Arnold Why not have one more total kick in the crotch to end the 2021 season? Greg Roman seemed to be daring the Ravens front office to fire him today, insisting on ridiculous decisions to pass the ball even when his team had put up over 200 yards rushing through the first three quarters.
Report Card: Steelers 16 Ravens 13
In a season full of opportunities lost, the Ravens wrapped up any dreams they might have held for a postseason appearance with a game filled with more lost opportunities. And it happened against Pittsburgh. At home. Blech. Let’s take a look at some grades. Offense Overall: C- The run game was terrific, generating 249 yards, but the Ravens only threw for 132 yards in a 2021 NFL game, lost a fumble on a snap and threw two interceptions — one of which came in the opposing end zone.
THE BITTER END: The End of The Line For Many Ravens
Reality Bites at Season’s End As the Ravens prepare for what is likely their final game of the season (unless their friends in Jacksonville can help a brother out), the postgame mood will be somber, even borderline melancholy. Many teammates, intense co-workers for months, even years, some, the best of friends, will go their separate ways. Career journeys will veer in different directions influenced by the salary cap, free agency or an aging skill set.

Bold Predictions for Ravens-Steelers in Week 18
The Ravens host their archrivals, the Pittsburgh Steelers in a Week 18 showdown that could determine a wildcard participant if either teams gets a massive amount of help from other teams. The Ravens hope to end a five-game skid and avoid back-to-back seasons of being swept by Pittsburgh. How will it play out? Here are the RSR Staff’s Bold Predictions… Tony Lombardi This season seems like Groundhog Day and feels as if it has been a struggle in perpetuity.
Offense "Looks" Better, but Lacks Explosive Plays without Lamar
Ravens Receiving Report – Week 17 It was interesting to watch the Greg Roman offense being operated by an old veteran QB. The ball came out on time. There were open receivers; Josh Johnson was only sacked once. It “looked” like a normal NFL passing game. Johnson completed 70% of his passes, same as Tyler Huntley did against Green Bay, but with a decent yards-per-attempt (7.6, equal to Lamar Jackson’s on the year).
Bold Predictions vs. Los Angeles Rams
The 11-4 L.A. Rams visit the 8-7 Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium in an interconference battle with major implications. This game is as close to a must-win as it gets for the hosts, losers of four straight. How will it play out? The RSR Staff weighs in with their weekly Shots in the Dark! Tony Lombardi On paper this game looks and feels like a blowout. After all, Joe Burrow & Co. with HC Zac Taylor at the controls, absolutely shredded the Ravens secondary last week.

Lamar Jackson Putting Defenses in a Bind
photo: Brandon Portney Print this article The list of records Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson broke Monday night is a long one. He threw for a Ravens record 442 yards, and overcame the largest deficit of his career. There’s no way around it. He was absolutely dialed in and enjoyed his best game ever as a passer.
