Chief Meteorologist Avaionia Smith: July 6, 2026— Happy Monday! There is a chance for isolated thunderstorms for Monday afternoon along with a level 1 marginal risk for severe weather. Small hail, gusty winds, lightning, and heavy rain is possible. This severe threat is over the Southeastern portion of the viewing area. Tomorrow a Red Flag Warning will go into effect at 2pm until 9pm for all of Cassia county, and the southern half of Twin Falls county.

Chief Meteorologist Avaionia Smith: July 3, 2026— Happy Friday! We close out the work week with highs in the upper 80s and mostly sunny skies. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms pass over southern Cassia County through the afternoon and early evening. The 4th of July is coming in HOT as high temperatures increase to the mid to upper 90s through the weekend and for the start of next week.

Chief Meteorologist Avaionia Smith: July 2, 2026— Happy Thursday! The sunny skies and rising temperatures return as we get ready to close out the work week. Highs are in the low 80s for Thursday, upper 80s for Friday and mid to upper 90s move in as we celebrate the 4th of July. The holiday weekend will be full of sunshine and HOT weather. Be sure to drink plenty of water, find shade, and apply your sunscreen.
