Burgess is also Lucy J’s executive director. The bakery is named after his daughter and eldest son. “Our fresh bread is some of the best in the city,” Burgess said. “Our sourdough and our cheddar jalapeno bread are very, very popular.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV/Gray News) – Tennessee officials were unable to put Christa Gail Pike to death Wednesday for a 1995 murder after administering two doses of a lethal drug. Her attorneys have filed an emergency motion to halt her execution after they say Pike was “still alive and snoring” after receiving her lethal injection on Wednesday. “The vein in my arm feels like it’s about to bust,” one witness recalled her saying.

PHOENIX (Aging Untold) — Rob Macgregor has a full-time job, running a small car dealership in Phoenix. He spends at least 40 hours a week selling cars. Then he works on his side hustle, giving golf lessons. He’s been playing golf since he was a kid, and teaching the game he loves has become a passion. “[I} won a state championship in Michigan and then turned pro shortly after that, decided to teach golf lessons for money,” he said.

ITHACA, N.Y. (WTSM) — More than a third of undergraduate women polled in a Cornell University survey reported experiencing nonconsensual sexual contact since arriving on campus, according to data released by Cornell. Cornell has surveyed its student body since 2021 to learn more about sexual assaults on campus.
