Usefulness of the JESREC scoring system in assessing asthma patients with eosinophilic chronic rhinosinusitis
Chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) with nasal polyps, nearly consistent with eosinophilic CRS (ECRS), is associated with asthma exacerbations and severe asthma. The Japanese Epidemiological Survey of Refractory Eosinophilic Chronic Rhinosinusitis (JESREC) scoring system is a simple diagnostic tool of ECRS without undergoing biopsy or operational specimens (Tokunaga 2015 Allergy). In this study, we assessed the usefulness of this system in evaluating asthma patients with ECRS.
