Meta disrupts Iran-linked AI network targeting US politicians and journalists
Meta has removed a network of Facebook and Instagram accounts linked to operators in Iran who used artificial intelligence and fake American personas to target US audiences, including politicians and journalists, Axios reported. Meta said it disrupted four Facebook accounts and 31 Instagram accounts whose operators posed as US-based activists, students and graphic designers purportedly living in cities including Washington, San Diego and Atlanta.

The Iranian response is very mild,” Trump told Axios in a phone interview on Thursday. “They don't want us to go back at them. That's the whole ball game. The rest doesn't matter,” he added.
