By Bailey Britton, NIRSA On August 24, 2021, Kansas State University Recreational Services celebrated 100 years of service at K-State, albeit nearly a year later than planned due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Recreational Services staff came together this August to provide the K-State community with safe opportunities for fun and games in a family-friendly atmosphere during the celebration—just as they have for the past year despite the pandemic.

MANHATTAN — Kansans marched Saturday in defense of abortion rights in cities statewide in coordination with a national response to attacks on women’s reproductive rights. The marches were planned in Manhattan, Topeka, Hays, Salina, Lawrence and several locations in the Kansas City, Kansas, area.

The Riley County Health Department announced 42 new positive cases of COVID-19 and 43 additional recoveries, bringing the total amount of active cases to 41. (Infographic by Kaylie McLaughlin | Collegian Media Group) For the week of April 18, the positivity rate was 3.2 percent. Of the 1,028 tests performed, 33 were positive. On campus, the positivity rate was 3.66 percent for the week of April 26. Of the 526 tests performed at Lafene, 20 were positive.
