It's the North Bay, so winemakers outnumber cowboys, but they all hang out under the same taxidermy glare of a giant moose head at the Geyserville Gun Club. In mostly liberal Sonoma County, a bar beholden to firearms has become an institution.

A Wine Honoring Family and Fathers To a father, from his sons I met Daniel and Georges Daou not long after they moved to Paso Robles, purchased property in the Adelaida District, and began planning to build a world-class winery. Our first few tastings took place in a double-wide trailer on their property while vineyards were being planted and construction of the Tasting Room atop Daou Mountain began.
