Uncovering hidden gene-trait patterns through biclustering analysis of the UK Biobank
Abstract The growing availability of genome-wide association studies (GWAS) and large-scale biobanks provides an unprecedented opportunity to explore the genetic basis of complex traits and diseases. However, with this vast amount of data comes the challenge of interpreting numerous associations across thousands of traits, especially given the high polygenicity and pleiotropy underlying complex phenotypes.
Deciphering genetic causes for sex differences in human health through drug metabolism and transporter genes - Nature Communications
Data collection We obtained GWAS sex-combined and sex-stratified GWAS summary statistics from the UK biobank (UKBB) (release 2; http://www.nealelab.is/uk-biobank). Traits were selected based on 3 criteria: (1) We defined the genomic region for each DMET gene as the region 1 Mb up/downstream of the transcription start site (TSS) of each DMET gene of interest.
