In 2005, Peter Hartmann and his team at the University of Western Australia, published a study that redefined the anatomy of the lactating human breast. (1) Here is a link to the Hartmann study. This can be downloaded for free. Link The study used ultrasound imaging to investigate breast anatomy of 21 fully lactating women who were 1-6 months post-partum.

The definition of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) is the sudden unexpected death of an apparently healthy infant aged <1 year, in which investigation, autopsy, medical history review, and appropriate laboratory testing fail to identify a specific cause. (1) SIDS is sometimes called “crib death” or “cot death” because it is associated with sleep and often occurs while a baby is sleeping in a crib. SIDS is the leading cause of post-neonatal death of babies in the United States.
