Gas turbines, a type of internal combustion engine, use hot gas to drive the turbine. They are known for their high power density and adaptability, leading to widespread use in modern marine vessels [1], [2], [3]. Marine gas turbines often use light-duty diesel as the fuel. However, the composition of diesel is highly complex. Consequently, researchers often select a representative hydrocarbon species from the fuel to simulate the characteristics of diesel combustion [4].

One of the last actions of the government before they began their summer recess was to approve in principle the proposal by Minister Heather Humphreys which would see a number of changes introduced to the State Pension scheme. Government is considering a new “Flexible” state pension system which will allow some workers to defer their pension until age 70 if they wish.
