The Bank of London, the next-generation technology company and the world’s first purpose-built global clearing, agency, and transaction bank, today announced the appointment of Gavin Hewitt as Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) by the end of January 2023. In his role, Gavin will lead on all accounting, finance, and corporate treasury for the Group, and contribute to the development of the Group strategy, supporting the delivery of its commercial agenda.

Image copyright AFP This morning the French people were treated to dramatic pictures of their president, disguised by a black motorcycle helmet, being dropped off by scooter at the apartment of his alleged girlfriend. Photos had been taken from an apartment across the street. There were timings of his comings and goings. Even his secret service bodyguard was noted delivering the morning croissants.

London: President Trump's opponents are in full cry. He is facing serious allegations that cannot be brushed aside as fake news. Some senior Democrats are declaring that "we're in a Watergate moment". This latest crisis was prompted by two courtroom dramas. In one, Trump's former campaign chairman was found guilty of tax crimes and bank fraud. It is, however, a second case that carries the most risk for the President.
