What was your first job as a journalist?
Writing a story in the South Florida Gay News about homophobia in the gaming community.

Nope, but I'd like to.
How is social media changing news?
I always look at Twitter for that answer, news has moved to a lot of hearsay and instant reaction without thoughtful analysis.
Who's your favorite fictional journalist?
Clark Kent or Peter Parker if he counts. Lois Lane as well. Obviously, I'm a nerd.
What's the funniest news-related #hashtag you've seen?
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Adobe Audition for podcasting, my Nikon D5600 for photography, and good ole' Google Drive to pack everything away and write.
What's your favorite social network?
Twitter or Reddit most likely. TikTok is making a rise but I'm not sure if that counts.
Why did you become a journalist?
To make a difference. I'm curious by nature and I really want to make a positive change in the world and share my curiosity at the same time
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
My high school didn't have an active newspaper but I tried my best to take part in my college paper when I could fit it around my job.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I'm still an early-career journalist so the moment that I'm proudest of was the first time I interviewed a sitting congressman.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
I've fallen in love with concerts, so since I've been vaccinated, probably at a concert waiting for a mosh pit.
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
I really love the New Yorker. It's a lot more intimate with journalists often in their own stories. I also love all things that NPR makes.
