There was a point during another Jack Willis masterclass, probably when he came up with an improbable turnover on his own goalline, when an internal debate kicked off in my head. The crux of it was this; which out of these two subjects will we be discussing and bemoaning until the end of time. Or, more realistically, the end of the decade. Can England ever find a long-term centre partnership they can keep together for more than 30 Tests?
