RUSSELLVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — When the call comes in, Russellville Fire Deputy Chief Randy Seal runs toward it. He’ll tell you it’s never about one person. “It’s never just me… It’s a team effort. If we help somebody, it’s all of us.” But the people who know him best see it a little differently. They call him a hero. “Randy is my son, and he is my hero,” his stepmother said. Seal has spent nearly three decades answering the call as a firefighter, starting after finishing fire school in 1998.
