(NewsNation) — A United States marshal was shot and killed Monday while serving an arrest warrant in Alexandria, Louisiana, federal authorities said. The U.S. Marshals Service confirmed one of its deputies was killed during the operation, which happened about 90 miles north of Lafayette. Neither the suspect nor the dead deputy was identified.
