Despite wrapping up the signings of Jeremy Jacquet and Victor Munoz early in the window, things have went quiet for Liverpool in the transfer window. There’s still plenty of work to be done. A winger to replace Mohamed Salah remains the priority, whilst a midfielder and another defender is also expected to be considered. One of Liverpool’s biggest weaknesses last season was the right-back department. Jeremie Frimpong joined from Bayer Leverkusen for £29m but has struggled to fully adapt at Anfield.

Liverpool have confirmed the signing of Celtic youngster Dara Jikiemi, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Scotland Under-16 captain will sign a five year deal at the club and will join up immediately with the youth setup at Anfield. The Reds have been in talks with the centre-back for months now, but they have finally made a breakthrough on the move.

The future of Curtis Jones has been a topic of discussion for months now. It all started when Inter Milan made a late enquiry for the midfielder back in January. The 25-year-old was reportedly open to a move to the Italian giants, but a concrete move wasn’t made. That was until this summer, where Liverpool have rejected a £21m offer from Inter for Jones. Liverpool value the midfielder at around £35m and will not sanction his exit for anything less than that.
