Hey, hi, sorry to interrupt your holiday weekend, and yet. Check out this paragraph from an article posted by The New York Times yesterday afternoon: The Moms For Liberty can get a bit carried away—one of their local chapters once accidentally quoted Adolf Hitler (“He alone, who owns the youth, gains the future”) and then issued an apology disavowing the Führer (“We should not have quoted him in our newsletter”)—but still, their summit on Friday made for a good case study.

Walz's Turn

Going forward, we will be sure to speak of Tim Walz’s vice presidential candidacy. Tim, Gwen, and the kids are the Walzes. The Walzes’ home is in St. Paul, Minn. The campaign of Kamala Harris and Tim Walz is Harris and Walz’s campaign, because they share it. We might otherwise speak of Harris’s and Walz’s (respective) families. What could be simpler? Meanwhile, the unofficial Minnesota state dish is referred to as hot dish or hotdish. A Word About... is a reader-supported publication.
