Universal Proteomic Signature After Exercise‐Induced Muscle Injury in Muscular Dystrophies
1 Introduction Intense physical exercise, particularly activities with high eccentric load or exercise in unaccustomed individuals, results in muscle injury that is manifested by pain, swelling, reduced muscle strength and range of motion, and the release of muscle proteins such as creatine kinase (CK), titin, myoglobin (MYOG), and fast-myofiber troponin I (TNNI2) into the circulatory system [1-7].
