The antibacterial property of food packaging is very important for food safety (Riahi et al., 2023, Zhen et al., 2021). Biobased materials for food packaging have been extensively investigated to ensure the fresh nutrition and preservation of food and to reduce petroleum-based plastic pollution (Atta et al., 2022, Bi et al., 2021, Lai et al., 2021).
