What was your first job as a journalist?

Freelance writing "deals" from Groupon during graduate school.

SEOClarity, SemRush, ChatGPT, Google Analytics, Looker, Google Search Console, Grammarly

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

Yes! I was a co-editor of my high school newspaper and it was some of the most fun I had in all four years.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Take any experience you can get; it may feel like you're settling, but all the experience you gather is worthwhile in some way or another.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

In the woods hiking or playing with my pets. Or in the woods with my dog!

Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?

I enjoy Outside Magazine and more adventure-oriented publications.
