RIPK3 overcomes 5-fluorouracil resistance in colorectal cancer cells via AKT/mTOR-mediated autophagy
Abstract Colorectal carcinoma (CRC) is one of the most prevalent malignant tumors globally, with high morbidity and mortality rates. 5-Fluorouracil (5-FU) remains the standard first-line chemotherapy for CRC; however, the increasing development of 5-FU resistance poses a significant challenge. In this study, RIPK3 was identified as a potential anti-drug resistance target through biosignature analysis.

A High-Current-Tolerant Multimetallic Phosphide Electrode for Alkaline Water Electrolysis Toward Industrial Conditions
1 Introduction Alkaline water electrolysis has been regarded as one of the most promising technological routes for the large-scale commercial production of green hydrogen due to its mature system, relatively low cost, and ease of scalability [1]. However, achieving efficient hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) under industrially relevant conditions remains a major challenge.

Physicochemical properties and microwave-induced thermal performance of steel slag powder as asphalt filler
Abstract The suitability of electric furnace slag powder and converter furnace slag powder as fillers in asphalt mixtures was methodically examined in this study. First, from the perspective of physicochemical properties, laser particle size analyzers, X-ray diffractometers, and simultaneous thermal analyzers were employed to compare their particle size distribution, phase composition, and thermal stability.
A bio-inspired customizable mechanical central pattern generator enables one-to-many scalable pneumatic control
Abstract As pneumatic robotics evolve toward high-degree-of-freedom arrays with multiple actuators, the conventional one-valve-one-actuator control paradigm inevitably leads to component redundancy and convoluted tubing layouts. To fundamentally reduce the controller’s quantity, here we propose a bioinspired customizable mechanical central pattern generator as an entirely electronics-free one-to-many scalable pneumatic control core.
Development and validation of a combined ultrasound−radiomics model for assessing rheumatoid arthritis disease activity: a prospective, two−center diagnostic study
Abstract Objective: To develop and evaluate a combined model integrating musculoskeletal ultrasound (MSK US) with a machine learning (ML) algorithm for assessing disease activity in rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Methods: A total of 203 patients with clinically confirmed RA were prospectively enrolled from December 2023 to September 2025.
Determinants of proliferation and involution in infantile hemangioma: macrophage crosstalk, endothelial plasticity, and metabolic rewiring
Abstract Infantile hemangioma (IH) follows a characteristic clinical course, yet the mechanisms that sustain rapid postnatal growth and later permit fibrofatty regression remain incompletely resolved. This gap has practical consequences, because some lesions threaten function, some respond incompletely to propranolol, and residual tissue change can remain important after growth arrest.
Genome-wide association study reveals candidate genes associated with body weight and wool traits in Ordos fine-wool sheep
Abstract Background: The Ordos fine-wool sheep is a high-quality fine-wool breed in China, renowned for its excellent wool quality, meat production, and adaptability to the arid and semi-arid regions of Inner Mongolia. Body weight and wool traits are important economic characteristics in sheep breeding. This study aimed to identify genetic loci associated with body weight (BW), wool length (WL), and wool fineness (WF) in Ordos fine-wool sheep.
Spatial RNA velocity reveals cellular state transitions and prognostic markers in the melanoma microenvironment
Abstract The inability to infer transcriptional dynamics from high-resolution spatial transcriptomics represents a major computational challenge, as these datasets lack the spliced/unspliced mRNA counts required for conventional RNA velocity. To address this, we developed a novel computational framework that repurposes subcellular transcript localization—using nuclear and cytoplasmic RNAs as proxies for unspliced and spliced mRNA, respectively—for spatial RNA velocity analysis.
Hybrid attention optimized hierarchical multiscale transformer architecture for image super-resolution
Abstract The transformer architecture has demonstrated significant performance in image super-resolution (SR). However, for existing Transformer-based models, there are common drawbacks. They often fall short in local feature modeling and limited feature representation capabilities. When it comes to reconstructing high-resolution (HR) images, these deficiencies become more prominent, resulting in the poor restoration of fine details.
One- and two-dimensional cluster states for topological phase simulation and measurement-based quantum computation
|
Abstract Quantum entanglement is a fundamental resource for quantum information processing and serves as a critical benchmark for quantum hardware performance. Cluster states are a special class of entangled states that serve as universal resources for measurement-based quantum computation and possess an intrinsic symmetry-protected topological order, which confers robustness against symmetry-respecting noise.

Microbial Community Composition and Function in Jiangsu Oil Reservoir Cores, China
1 Introduction Shale oil is a significant unconventional petroleum resource. The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) estimated that global shale oil reserves amount to approximately 419 billion barrels (Stolz et al. 2022), accounting for 20%–50% of the world's total oil reserves (Zou et al. 2013). Continental shale oil reservoirs in China are generally buried at depths of 2400–3000 m (Xiang et al. 2015), where organic-rich shale is interbedded with other lithological rock layers (Zou et al.

Sorption and Utilization of Per‐ and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances in Rechargeable Zinc‐Ion Batteries
1 Introduction Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are synthetic fluorinated organic compounds characterized by a stable fluorinated tail and a charged head.[1, 2] The high electronegativity of fluorine results in a strong C─F bond, conferring exceptional chemical and thermal stability.[3-5] Due to these features, PFAS have been extensively utilized in various applications since 1950s.[6] However, numerous studies have linked PFAS exposure to severe health issues, primarily due to...

Multistability and skyrmion annihilation mechanisms in nanodots near ordering temperature - Communications Physics
Abstract Magnetic skyrmions are promising candidates for next-generation information carriers. In confined geometries, they often coexist with other (meta)stable magnetic states under identical conditions, enabling skyrmion-based multi-bit storage applications. Advancing these applications requires a comprehensive understanding of multistability and skyrmion annihilation mechanisms.
Insights into the interconnection of sarcopenia in heart failure
Sympathetic hyperactivity, an inflammatory system-triggered immunological response, and catabolism are the hallmarks of heart failure (HF).1 A geriatric disorder called sarcopenia is typified by a progressive loss of skeletal muscle mass and function.2 The aforementioned underlying causes of HF cause this muscle modification, which is a disease-specific phenomena that is distinct from ageing-related change or simple deconditioning.3 About 20% of older people with chronic HF have sarcopenia,...

Improved approximate check polytope projection algorithm of ADMM penalized decoding for LDPC codes in IoTs - Scientific Reports
Abstract The alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM) penalized decoding method is a popular technology for low-density parity-check (LDPC) codes in Internet of Things (IoT) communications. In this method, Euclidean projection is a key factor affecting computational complexity. Existing projection algorithms require either sorting operation or iterative execution, resulting in greater computational complexity.
