Bibek is currently a Nepal-based independent journalist. He has written for the South China Morning Post, CNN, Al Jazeera, Huffington Post, Sixth Tone, The National and The Week in Nepal, among others.

He started his reporting stint as a student reporter for the TCU Daily Skiff, and blogged for the New York-based South Asian Journalists Association. He also interned at Rolling Stone India in Mumbai.
