Adipocyte OX40L promotes adipose T cell activation and insulin resistance in obesity
Abstract T cells contribute critically to obesity-induced adipose inflammation and insulin resistance, yet the co-stimulatory signals that govern their activation in adipose tissue remain unclear. Here, we systematically profile co-stimulatory molecules in adipocytes and adipose tissue macrophages and identify OX40 ligand (OX40L) as the most robustly upregulated in obesity. OX40L is also elevated in adipocytes from obese humans.
Novel Pseudo-Two-Dimensional 19F NMR Spectroscopy for Rapid Simultaneous Detection of Amines in Complex Mixture
Introduction Click to copy section linkSection link copied! Amines are prevalent in physiological and biological activities within living organisms, playing crucial roles in various processes. (1) They constitute the basic building blocks of proteins and nucleic acids. Essential hormones, antibiotics, and alkaloids are amine derivatives. (2) Most drugs used clinically are amines or their derivatives. (3) Specifically, amino acids, the core units of human proteins, are vital nutrients for humans.
19 F NMR enantiodiscrimination and diastereomeric purity determination of amino acids, dipeptides, and amines
Chiral amino-group compounds are of significance for human health, such as biogenic amino acids (AAs), dipeptides, and even various drugs. Enantiospecific discrimination of these chiral compounds is vital in diagnosing diseases, identifying pathological biomarkers and enhancing pharmaceutical chemistry research. He
