Veteran columnist Bill Brioux is one of the leading voices on the Canadian media and television scene. What was your first job as a journalist?

I was hired by TV Guide Canada to do paste-up and assembly. Had zero experience. Snuck into editorial meetings and wore them down.

Have you ever used a typewriter?

Yes! The old IBM Selectra. They're boat anchors now.

What's your favorite social network?

Fox--they throw the best press tour parties.
