Pyruvate partitioning defines an immunosuppressive metabolic niche in colorectal cancer
Abstract Purpose. Colorectal cancer (CRC) reprograms glucose metabolism, diverting pyruvate from mitochondrial oxidation toward lactate export. How this partitioning decision is organized across cell types and tissue space, and how it relates to immune programmes, remains unresolved. Methods.
Long-term ecological quality dynamics and spatial associations in arid and semi-arid Northwest China using an adaptive PRSEI
Abstract Long-term ecological monitoring in arid and semi-arid regions requires indices that capture region-specific stressors while remaining comparable through time. We developed an adaptive particular remote-sensing ecological index (PRSEI) for Gansu Province, China, using growing-season kNDVI, wetness (WET), land surface temperature (LST), sandification index (SI), and a PM10-based particulate indicator (TI) from 2000 to 2024.
Coupling ecosystem services with machine learning to construct ecological security patterns: a case study of Jiangxi Province, China
Abstract Rapid urbanisation threatens regional sustainability in Jiangxi Province, a critical ecological barrier in southeastern China. This study establishes a high-precision, long-term (2005–2024) Ecological Security Pattern (ESP) framework, addressing conventional limitations in subjective weighting and spatial heterogeneity. Coupling the InVEST model with Morphological Spatial Pattern Analysis (MSPA), we found that ecological sources encompass ~ 40% of the provincial territory.
Nonlinear effect and spatiotemporal heterogeneity of urban resilience on surface urban heat Island in the Guanzhong urban agglomeration
Abstract Amid the dual contexts of rapid urbanization and global warming, the Surface Urban Heat Island (SUHI) effect has been identified as a pivotal climatic issue that poses severe threats to urban sustainable development and public health. Urban Resilience (UR), in turn, has been widely recognized as a systematic and holistic pathway to mitigate the SUHI effect and optimize the urban thermal environment.
A phase II peri-operative study of pembrolizumab plus lenvatinib for mucosal melanoma
|
Abstract Mucosal melanoma is an aggressive malignancy with limited neoadjuvant options. We conducted a single arm, phase II study of neoadjuvant pembrolizumab plus lenvatinib followed by surgery and adjuvant pembrolizumab in resectable mucosal melanoma (NCT04622566) along with exploratory biomarker analysis.

Synthesis, structure and characterization of a new glycolate: sodium glycolate-glycolic acid (1/1)
Among various glycolates, potassium glycolate glycolic acid (PGGA), ammonium glycolate glycolic acid (AGGA) and rubidium glycolate glycolic acid (RGGA) are isostructural, with the general formula A(C2H3O3)(C2H4O3) (A = K, NH4 and Rb). However, whether Na+ can occupy the A site and its effects on structure and properties remained unknown.
Nomogram Based on A‐To‐I RNA Editing for Predicting Overall Survival in Patients With Breast Cancer
1 Introduction According to global cancer data statistics for 2020, the number of new cases of breast cancer (BRCA) is 2.26 million, thus replacing lung cancer as the most common malignant tumour worldwide and demonstrating a tendency of rejuvenation. The number of cancer-related deaths amongst women ranks first worldwide [1].

Weathering of Buried Standard Pieces of Serpentine under Varied Soil Treatments and Relevant Analysis of Microbial Community Structure
Abstract Carbon sink processes related to the weathering of silicate minerals are often accompanied by physical, chemical, and biological effects. In particular, plant-microbe synergistic effects are important for soil mineral weathering, but relevant correlation analyses and quantitative studies remain sparse.
Secondary products and molecular mechanism of calcium oxalate degradation by the strain Azospirillum sp. OX-1 - Scientific Reports
Abstract The oxalate-carbonate pathway (OCP) involves degradation of soil oxalate to carbonate. To exploit and manage this natural mineralization of assimilated atmospheric CO2 into stable carbonates, improved understanding of this complex biotransformation process is needed. A strain of oxalate-degrading bacteria, Azospirillum sp. OX-1, was isolated from soil, and its secondary products of calcium oxalate degradation were analyzed and characterized using SEM, XRD, TG/DTG-DTA and FTIR-spectroscopy.
A Ciphertext Reduction Scheme for Garbling an S-Box in an AES Circuit with Minimal Online Time
1. Introduction 1.1. Yao’s Garbled Circuits and Secure AES Computation Yao’s garbled circuits, introduced in [1], remain a cornerstone method for facilitating secure two-party computation tasks. This approach enables two parties to jointly compute a function without leaking their input to each other. In the traditional garbled circuits protocol, the two parties play a circuit generator and a circuit evaluator, respectively.

Application of Calcium Carbonate as a Controlled Release Carrier for Therapeutic Drugs
1. Introduction Traditional drug delivery methods include oral and injection methods; however, these drug delivery methods often have problems such as high drug dosage, frequent use of drugs, strong irritation to the gastrointestinal tract, non-specific drug release, and unsustainable drug delivery. Therefore, enhancing drugs’ sustained and controlled release is critical for current clinical drug therapy.

Transcriptome analysis provides novel insights into the weathering capacities of K-containing feldspar and apatite by the ectomycorrhizal fungus Amanita pantherina
Geomicrobiology Qibiao Sun, Ziyu Fu, Roger Finlay, Bin Lian DOI: 10.1128/AEM.00719-19 ABSTRACT Ectomycorrhizal (ECM) fungi, symbiotically associated with woody plants, markedly improve the uptake of mineral nutrients such as potassium (K) and phosphorus (P) by their host trees. Although it is well known that ECM fungi can obtain K and P from soil minerals through biological weathering, the mechanisms regulating this process are still poorly understood at the molecular level.
