CD97/ ADGRE5 attenuates the induction of adaptive type 2 immune responses in allergic asthma
Abstract Allergic asthma results from an uncontrolled type 2 immune response to inhaled allergens. Here, we investigate the function of CD97/ADGRE5, expressed in mouse and human immune and lung epithelial cells, in this disease. Female Cd97−/− mice exhibit an exacerbated asthmatic phenotype across multiple models, primarily due to CD97 loss on immune cells.
Unveiling the global impact of hypertensive heart disease among individuals aged ≥ 65 years: metabolic risk factors and future projections for 2050
ORIGINAL RESEARCH article Volume 12 - 2025 | https://doi.org/10.3389/fnut.2025.1611078 1 Introduction Hypertension, defined as systolic/diastolic blood pressure ≥140/90 mm Hg, is a major global risk factor for cardiovascular diseases and a leading cause of DALYs (1–3). The worldwide population is aging rapidly; the proportion of individuals aged 60 and above increased from 9.2% in 1990 to 11.7% in 2013, and is projected to reach 21.1% by 2050 (4).
Targeting tumor-associated macrophage-derived CD74 improves efficacy of neoadjuvant chemotherapy in combination with PD-1 blockade for cervical cancer
Methods Nine specimens were collected from stage IB3 and IIA2 (FIGO 2018)21 female patients with locally advanced cervical cancer, who were treated at the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Qilu Hospital, Shandong University. The patients had not undergone prior treatment before receiving platinum-based NACT combined with PD-1 blockade therapy and radical hysterectomy. The pretreatment (T1, T2, T3) and post-NACT (T1a, T2a, T3a) specimens were collected by puncture biopsy.

Targeting CD74-positive macrophages improves neoadjuvant therapy in cervical cancer as revealed by single-cell transcriptomics analysis
Abstract Uterine cervical cancer (UCC) has the second-highest mortality rate among malignant tumors of the female reproductive system. Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have emerged as a promising therapeutic strategy for cervical cancer. However, the efficacy of PD-1 (programmed cell death protein 1) blockade combined with neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT) and the ensuing alterations within the tumor microenvironment need further investigation.

ADRC‐based control strategy for DC‐link voltage of flywheel energy storage system
1 INTRODUCTION Due to the uncertainty and intermittency of renewable energy, the power system can hardly meet the load requirements in the future, when the power consumption is at peak; a large amount of renewable energy waste may occur when the power consumption is at a low point. Besides, the randomness of renewable energy can cause frequency fluctuation of the power system, which will lead to serious security issues in the power system.

Simultaneous Mesoporosity Generation and Lewis acidity Enhancement in Zr‐based Metallosilicalite for Promoting the Conversion of Ethanol‐Acetaldehyde to 1,3‐Butadiene
Abstract Zr based metallosilicalites, especially Zr-β, is promising catalyst for the conversion of ethanol to 1,3-butadiene, which is considered to be a sustainable alternative to petroleum steam cracking. However it is suffering from deactivation derived from coking and unsatisfied catalytic activity derived from deficient Lewis acidity.
Based on the difference of Newton’s method integrated energy system distributed collaborative optimization
1 Introduction Recent years have seen the need to bring a major shift of energy source from coal to and electricity in an attempt to ensure power supply Therefore, renewable energy is connected to the power system, which can ensure sustainable and reliable power supply. Despite unprecedented challenge and change, the traditional power system gradually transformed into new power system generating clean energy.

The Role and Research Progress of Inhibitor of Differentiation 1 in Atherosclerosis
Introduction Inhibitor of differentiation proteins were originally isolated from a mouse red blood cell line in 1990 and belong to the helix-loop-helix (HLH) transcription factor family. These proteins are named Id proteins because they can inhibit the binding of nuclear transcription factors to DNA (Jen et al., 1992). It was later discovered that Id proteins are negative regulators of nuclear transcription factors that are widely present in mammalian cells.
Fast and All-Weather Cleanup of Viscous Crude-Oil Spills with Ti3C2Tx MXene Wrapped Sponge
Fast and All-Weather Cleanup of Viscous Crude-Oil Spills with Ti3C2Tx MXene Wrapped Sponge Remediation of crude-oil spills is a global challenge. Conventional sorbents are inefficient for complete remediation due to the high viscosity of crude oil. However, heating the crude oil can dramatically reduce the viscosity, allowing efficient remediation.
Assessment of Bioavailability of Biochar-Sorbed Tetracycline to Escherichia coli for Activation of Antibiotic Resistance Genes
Human overuse and misuse of antibiotics have caused the wide dissemination of antibiotics in the environment, which has promoted the development and proliferation of antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) in soils. Biochar (BC) with strong sorption affinity to many antibiotics is considered to sequester antibiotics and hence mitigate their impacts to bacterial communities in soils.
Interaction of M2 macrophages and endometrial cells induces downregulation of GRIM-19 in endometria of adenomyosis
Abstract Research question Does the aggregation of M2 macrophages affect the expression of GRIM-19 in adenomyosis༟ Design Except the collecting of endometrial tissues, GRIM-19 small interfering RNA were constructed to regulate the expression of GRIM-19 in Human endometrial stromal cells (hESCs). At the same time, hESC cells were co-cultured with M2 macrophages to detect the influence of M2 macrophages in hESC cells.
Synthesis of Glycopolymer Nanosponges with Enhanced Adsorption Performances for Boron Removal and Water Treatment
The high-affinity interaction between cis-diols and boric / boronic acid has been widely employed as a tool for carbohydrate analysis, protein separation and boron removal. Herein we report the design and synthesis of cyclodextrin-scaffolded glycopolymers as bifunctional nanosponges for boron removal and water treatment at the first time.

Environmental Health Perspectives is pleased to present this abstract on behalf of the International Society for Environmental Epidemiology (ISEE). This abstract was presented at an ISEE annual meeting and has not been peer reviewed.
Dock2 in the development of inflammation and cancer
An atypical guanine exchange factor, Dock2 is specifically expressed in hematopoietic cells and regulates activation and migration of immune cells through activating Ras‐related C3 botulinum toxin substrate (Rac). Dock2 was shown to be critical in the development of various inflammatory diseases, including allergic diseases, HIV infection, and graft rejection in organ transplantation. DOCK2 mutation in infants was recently identified to be associated with T and B cell combined immunodeficiency.
