Feature editor at a new weekly community newspaper in midtown Manhattan.

Yes. A Smith-Corona Selectric my parents gave me as a high school graduation present.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
It's a high calling, but it's also too serious for me to take too seriously.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
Intelligently. Emotionally. Factually.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
My brain, my fingers and my mouth.
What's your favorite social network?
Facebook.
Who do you wish followed you?
Anyone who could benefit.
Why did you become a journalist?
Self-expression. Civic duty. A cry for attention.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
Yes. Covered news.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Do your damndest. Stay true to yourself. Pursue the consequential.
When's the best time to pitch you?
Between noon and midnight.
What's the best pitch you ever got?
A fastball right down the middle of the strike zone.
What's your favorite drink?
Coffee.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Hanging out with my family and friends.
