More Global Brands Are Turning to Australia — Launch Story Highlights the Opportunity
Launch Story reports on Molan's Debut Launch Story reports on Dinning Launch Story examines why Australia is attracting more global brands and suppliers, and what the shift means for consumers and local partners. SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, August 12, 2026 / EINPresswire.com/ -- From jewellery and milk tea to restaurant groups, skincare and new retail concepts, Australia is seeing a broader mix of international brands enter or prepare to enter the market.
A self-powered spherical compound eye with 8 ns-motion response for source-constrained drones
Abstract Ultrafast dynamic vision remains a major challenge for autonomous systems like drones, particularly considering their strict power and computational constraints. Here, we present an artificial spherical compound eye (ASCE) that enables nanosecond-scale, event-driven motion detection across a panoramic field of view (294°). Each pixel is self-powered and responds exclusively to dynamic light changes, enabling real-time sensing with minimal processing.

A material dynamically enhancing both load-bearing and energy dissipation capability under cyclic loading
Abstract Material properties gradually degrade under cyclic loading, leading to catastrophic failure. It results in large costs for inspection, maintenance, and downtime. Besides, materials require combinations of performance such as load bearing and energy dissipation. However, improving one performance of a material often sacrifices another performance, making it difficult to create materials with optimal performance profiles.

Radical Ring-Closing/Ring-Opening Cascade Polymerization
A novel strategy for the synthesis of main-chain polymers through radical ring-closing/ring-opening cascade polymerization is reported. Efficient radical cyclopolymerization was achieved through systematic optimization of the electronic properties of 1,6-diene structures. Fusing 1,6-diene with allylic sulfide or allylic sulfone motifs enabled a ring-closing/ring-opening cascade reaction that provides a strong driving force for the ring-opening polymerization of large macrocyclic monomers.
Radical Cascade-Triggered Controlled Ring-Opening Polymerization of Macrocyclic Monomers
A strategy for the controlled radical ring-opening polymerization of macrocyclic monomers is reported. Key to this approach is an allyl alkylsulfone-based ring-opening trigger that can undergo a radical cascade reaction to extrude sulfur dioxide and generate an alkyl radical for controlled chain propagation. A systematic study correlating reaction conditions with polymer molecular weight and molecular weight distribution allowed excellent control over polymerization.
