OPINION: Funding tutoring programs can reduce the crime pipeline
Studies have consistently revealed a distressing reality: a significant portion of individuals within the juvenile justice system grapple with low literacy levels. These studies reveal a staggering 85%of children held within detention centers fall into this category. College Football 2024: Winners and Losers from Week 1
College Football 2024: Winners and Losers from Week 1 0 of 16 College football is baaaaack! With all due respect to Ron Burgundy, we're all probably so excited, we want to shout it from a mountain. Well, that is, unless your team laid a gargantuan egg on opening weekend. Last week gave us a handful of yawner games to go along with Georgia Tech's giant upset of Florida State, but this week featured a full slate.
OPINION: Correctional institutions need reform
Ethics in prisons need a major reform; however, it needs to start with fixing other issues in our country, addiction and mental health. In the United States, 37% of incarcerated individuals and 44% of those in jail have mental health issues, 66% of whom receive no form of treatment for their health. Mental health has not been taken seriously enough, and it is even worse for the inmate population.

Predicting School Soccer’s Most Clutch Performers in 2024 0 of 10 Tim Warner/Getty Pictures It is not everyone who has the “clutch gene.” Some wilt underneath stress, fall to the wayside or search for anyone else to hold the load with the sport on the road. Michael Lichaa, who played rugby for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs among other teams, lost 2.5 liters of blood and almost bled to death. Lichaa was a hooker, although some may argue that distinction could also belong to his ex-fiancée for different reasons.

Woke Mob Accuses Trump-Supporting Philadelphia Flyers Defenseman Of Racism And Political Wrongthink
An outspoken NHL player’s controversial background is once again triggering critics on the heels of a trade to Philadelphia. 26-year-old Flyers defenseman Tony DeAngelo, fresh off a trade from the Carolina Hurricanes, was attacked by the woke mob for the crime of supporting President Donald Trump. If DeAngelo supported our current president, who is so mentally unqualified that he reads everything on the teleprompter like Anchorman’s Ron Burgundy, they would be perfectly fine with that.

Yes, the early signing period for the 2022 recruiting class just ended, and several prospects are going to see the heat turn up in the late cycle as coaches try to earn their signature. WWE Superstar R-Truth puts the 'E' in World Wrestling Entertainment
Whenever I hear pro wrestling fans talk about longevity in the business, a few names come to mind: Ric Flair, Terry Funk, Hulk Hogan, Undertaker, Chris Jericho…etc. One name that is sometimes omitted by wrestling fans is Ron Killings (aka WWE’s R-Truth)—but it’s time to put some respect on his name. To Killings credit, you would never guess he’s been in the business for almost 25 years—he’s in the same shape now that he was in decades ago, a credit to his tremendous work ethic.
Exclusive: WWE News on Brock Lesnar's return, Merchandise Sales
It’s that time of the month again—where ‘Scoops’ Shepard breaks the news before the dime-a-dozen dirtsheet marks, and then they steal it. It was originally reported by Dave Meltzer that Brock Lesnar’s return was “last minute.” Admittedly, I was skeptical for a couple of reasons, but I have confirmed with a reliable source in the company that is correct. Dave’s report essentially stops there, so I’m going to pick up where he left off.

Exclusive: WWE NXT & Raw News
I spoke with a source in WWE this week regarding changes in NXT and Raw. The process of how Superstars on the NXT roster evolve within the company is changing. Currently, those Superstars can spend long periods of time in NXT, including their entire career in WWE—without being promoted to the main roster (Raw or SmackDown). The idea is for developmental limbo to end and cycle fresh developmental talent in at regular intervals.

First, a quick thanks to everyone reading my Substack page—it continues to grow organically without the backing of a ‘system’, and that’s cool. My audio content has done well, so I’ll continue to do that as much as I can until I launch my new wrestling podcast this fall. Nobody in wrestling journalism is doing what I am, so thanks for spreading the word. On August 17th, I dropped exclusive news regarding Raw and NXT. Change is afoot in WWE, and the information continues to come out.

WWE Cleaning House in NXT is Best for Business
The usual dirt sheet marks began reporting a list of new WWE releases earlier tonight—all from their developmental operation, NXT. The dirt sheet marks were completely caught off guard by these releases, and were completely confused. Someone should’ve pointed these dirt sheet “professionals” to my Twitter feed, then perhaps they would've understood WWE’s decision.

What’s his message for Sean Ross Sapp? Who participated in blackballing him? He’s not a big fan of AEW’s Joey Janela—wait until you hear what he says.
Kenny McIntosh (from Inside The Ropes) is a Perfect Example of the Modern Pro Wrestling Fan
If you are not familiar with Kenny McIntosh—and I’m safely presuming most of my audience is not—he’s a twerpy Scottish man from Inside The Ropes, who places a rainbow flag next to his Twitter handle for attention. Inside The Ropes is largely a U.K. pro wrestling brand, which copy and pastes fake wrestling news, writes an irrelevant magazine, records boring podcasts and YouTube shows…etc.
Heat on NXT Superstar AJ Francis
In January of 2020, AJ Francis signed with WWE. You may have seen Francis during his appearances on A&E’s series WWE’s Most Wanted Treasures. In May of this year—under the moniker Top Dolla—Francis debuted on NXT television, and became part of a new stable called Hit Row.
Doudrop Needs Eva Marie
I was scrolling my Twitter feed in the early morning hours on Monday when a tweet from FanSidedDDT contributor Stephanie Hypes caught my eye. In the context of the story, Eva Marie is mentoring brand new Raw Superstar Piper Niven, and renamed her Doudrop. Eva is using Doudrop to win matches while minimizing her own involvement. I replied to Stephanie’s tweet, with a fat joke playing on the words in her tweet, and a high-level summary of my analysis on WWE Raw Superstar Doudrop.
WWE Calls Out Dave Meltzer for Reporting Fake News on WWE Executive Canyon Ceman

Brad’s Butt Beauties - Rating the 5 Best Women’s Butts in WWE Today
A year and a half ago, I set my sights on the enviable task of deciding the top five best women’s butts in WWE. I spent many late nights studying pictures and laying my work out on whiteboards. I knew if I was going to be the IWC’s (Internet Wrestling Community) resident cula connoisseur, I had to take this seriously. You may remember in my previous article I rated the following WWE Superstars as the best of the butts: 5) Lana, 4) Naomi, 3) Alexa Bliss, 2) Bayley, and 1) Mandy Rose.
Sean Ross Sapp's Bait and Switch on Brock Lesnar
Managing Editor Sean Ross Sapp once again lured fans to his Fightful Select paywall on Sunday. You may remember Tom Budgen (former WWE Superstar Aleister Black) criticizing Sapp on Twitch for luring fans into paying for news when he had none to report. This time Sapp began promoting a big update on Brock Lesnar hours before WWE’s Hell in a Cell pay-per-view, to his 2,000+ Fightful Select subscribers.
NXT has a Main Event Problem
NXT TakeOver: In Your House on Sunday was the first NXT show I have watched in a long time. I do not watch NXT weekly, but I went into it with an open mind, hoping to recapture some of the things I enjoyed about it several years ago. Also, there is just a nostalgia factor for old school fans because of the name of the show. Sure, it is not much—they are not holding a sweepstakes to give away a house anymore—but it is still a small something.
The Death of Showbuzz Daily is Good News for Pro Wrestling
RIP Showbuzz Daily. The website which fans and journalists relied up on for Nielsen data announced on June 7th it was shutting down for good. The death of Showbuzz Daily is the end of an era—an era where people viewed Nielsen data as the gospel of what TV shows were doing well and which were not. This was particularly true with pro wrestling fans.
