For 24 years, Brandon De Hoyos has applied his passion for diverse communities and inclusive storytelling to help more people feel seen and heard.
As Vice President-Community Engagement & Development at ABC7 Los Angeles/KABC-TV, Brandon produces stories rooted in optimism that reflect every corner of LA, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura counties.
In addition to responding to breaking news and weather emergencies, connecting ABC7 Los Angeles' viewers with vital community resources, Brandon aligns partners on a variety of cause campaigns and station priorities, including ABC7 Spark of Love and Disney Ultimate Toy Drive, ABC7 Feed SoCal Food Drive, and Disney Magic of Storytelling.
Brandon celebrated his 10th year with ABC Owned Television Stations in 2025.
Before joining the KABC family in 2025, Brandon served as director of community engagement at ABC13 Houston/KTRK-TV. He joined Houston's News Leader in 2015 as a web producer, before being named as KTRK's first digital producer supervisor in 2017.
Previously, Brandon led digital content creation for Interactive One in Houston, at 97.9 The Box, Majic 102.1, the former Praise HD FM, and KROI News 92 FM. His byline has been featured on About.com and Houston Community Newspapers.
Brandon's Disney career began in 1996, as a junior reporter for Disney Adventures magazine. In 2003, he became an intern in the Walt Disney World College Program; later that year, he was elevated to the role of general teller/assistant manager of Main Street North at the Magic Kingdom.
