HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WHLT) – A major industrial project near Hattiesburg is moving into its next stage of development as leaders work to attract a large manufacturing employer to the region. The Eagle One Mega Site near U.S. 11 will soon complete Phase 1 of construction, which includes grubbing and grading work, new road access and infrastructure and environmental studies. About 400 acres have been developments with more than 1,200 additional acres cleared to prepare the site for future development.

HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WHLT) – The spirit of Mardi Gras will return to the Hub City. Hattiesburg’s carnival season will kick off on February 6 with the Krewe of St. Catherine’s 4th annual Walking Parade and Block Party. This year’s theme is “Off the Rails” and celebrates Hattiesburg’s railroad history.
