What was your first job as a journalist?

I was an intern for Baseball Prospectus. In college, I covered the Northwestern College Eagles and edited the sports section for our paper.

Have you ever used a typewriter?

Yes, my grandparents had one so I played with it some as a young boy.

How is social media changing news?

The immediacy is a blessing and a burden. In a rush to report news, we have sacrificed accuracy for speed -- and this is dangerous.
