Artemis II will send four astronauts around the moon in the first crewed flight test of the Space Launch System rocket and the Orion Spacecraft. NASA's long-awaited moonshot with astronauts is off until April 1 because of a helium flow issue that forced the rocket to return to the Vehicle Assembly Building.

1 pedestrian killed, another injured in crash on Goldenrod Road in Orange County

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. - One pedestrian was killed and another was injured Friday when they were struck by a vehicle on Goldenrod Road in Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The crash happened around 12:06 p.m. near Quail Pond Street. According to troopers, the crash involved a 2017 RAM 1500 and two pedestrians. The two pedestrians were taken to the hospital, where one of them was pronounced dead, the FHP said. Northbound lanes are blocked on Goldenrod Road at Quail Pond Street.

Man accused of shooting Volusia deputy appears in court

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. - A man accused of shooting a Volusia sheriff's deputy, whose body camera on his chest is credited for saving his life after it was struck by a bullet, appeared in court Friday morning for the first time since the incident. Deputy Jose Rivera was shot in the shoulder and thigh earlier this week when 31-year-old Luis Diaz Polanco fired at him multiple times, according to sheriff's officials.
