Published 8:48 am Sunday, September 28, 2025 The Selma City Council continued discussion of an ordinance that would make BMSS Advisors & CPAs the interim city treasurer for the city to get the city’s financial reports up to date at a finance committee meeting on Thursday. During a finance committee meeting on Wednesday, Councilman Troy Harvill, chairman of the committee, said he will present the resolution and ordinance at a special called meeting, likely on Monday, Sept. 29.

She gained 293 votes earning 64% of the vote beating incumbent Atkin Jemison. “First, I give all glory to God for making this moment possible. Without His guidance and grace, none of this would be,” Ervin said. “I am deeply grateful to the people of Ward 6 for placing your trust in me. We made history together.
