Marantz, D-SLR,, audio kit and lots of patience.

What's your favorite social network?

Reddit. I never post. Mostly there for historical photos and pics of people's backpacking trips.

No.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Have ideas.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

The woods.

What's the most common misperception about your beat?

Sometimes people treat health stories as if they exist separate from things like politics, the environment and poverty. They're all related.
