(FOX40.COM) — A Nevada man arrested last month for an allegedly battering his partner in what Sacramento’s top prosecutor called a “horrific, violent case” returned to court Wednesday, where he now faces three new charges. Ricardo Gonzalez Gurrola, 32, is now charged with attempted murder in addition to aggravated mayhem, resisting arrest and injuring his domestic partner. Sacramento County prosecutors also added two other new charges, felony assault on a peace officer and misdemeanor battery.
