2019 - Outstanding leaders

The WBJ annual 40 Under 40 program is the most competitive awards program in the Washington Business Journal's slate each year. This year was no different, with nearly 400 submissions from across Greater Washington. A panel of outside judges, along with Washington Business Journal staff, sifted through those submitted names to determine this year's class of outstanding leaders. Among them are small business owners, award-winning chefs, attorneys, nonprofit leaders and more.

National Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors (NAIFA) 4 UNDER 40

2017 - Excellence in financial services

Advisor Today magazine has recognized four financial advisors with the “Four Under Forty Award,” given annually to four outstanding advisors who achieve excellence in their profession by or before the age of 40. Out of a National membership of over 35,000, this award represents some of the highest achievements by a financial professional.

NAIFA YAT Leader of the Year

2021 - Young professional excellence and leadership

The YAT Leader of the Year Award recognizes an advisor’s commitment to NAIFA, including service on local, state and national committees and participation in the Leadership in Life Institute (LILI); involvement with state or federal legislative efforts; participation in external service work such as charities; and an ability to inspire others.

NAIFA Diversity Champion

2018 - Excellence & leadership in diversity, equity, and inclusion

NAIFA created the Diversity Champion Award to recognize exceptional efforts to promote the full and equal participation of diverse people within the insurance and financial services profession.

NAIFA Greater Washington Legacy Award

2025 - Financial Services Excellence

The Legacy Award was created in 2009 to combine the traditions and prestige of the 63-year Bernard L. Wilner and the 41-year Harry L. Meyers-Victor E. Brandrup awards to recognize an individual, in a single annual presentation, for outstanding service and dedication to the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors-Greater Washington over an extended period of time, and in conformance with the highest standards of professional conduct and unselfish community service. The individual is further commended for adherence to the principles of trusteeship and stewardship on behalf of the insurance and financial services industry. The Legacy Award will continue to honor the memories and achievements of the leaders whose names appear on the predecessor awards
