By Brian Mwale Vedanta Resources Limited says it has not yet taken control of management at Konkola Copper Mines -KCM- until after the scheme of arrangement is completed. Vedanta Resources Zambia, Director Corporate Communications MASUZYO NDHLOVU says the scheme of arrangement is a court approved agreement between a company and its creditors. Mr. NDHLOVU says the scheme also includes the withdrawal of the Provisional Liquidator and reinstatement of the KCM Board.

By Brian Mwale Newly recruited health workers have been given up to Monday January 8 to report to their stations. The Civil Service Commission says applicants who will not report to their stations on the stated date risk forfeiting their appointment. The Commission says successful applicants must immediately collect their appointment letters from the various provincial health offices and report to their stations. This is contained in a statement availed to ZNBC News in Lusaka.

President HICHILEMA has acknowledged the commendable work and leadership that Mr. KAKUBO rendered to government during his tenure as Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Minister since the UPND formed government in 2021.
