Victor Wembanyama entered the NBA in 2023 as the big man with the highest expectations since Shaquille O'Neal was the first overall pick by the Orlando Magic in 1992. O'Neal reached the Finals in his third season in 1995, just like Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs this season. O'Neal's Magic were swept by the Houston Rockets and he didn't return to the Finals until 2000 with the Los Angeles Lakers. O'Neal went on two win four out of the next seven championships.
