What was your first job as a journalist?

I worked as a sports writer for a weekly newspaper while in high school. It was a good place to get mistakes out of my system.

Have you ever used a typewriter?

Yes, one that used ribbon.

Who's your favorite fictional journalist?

Henry Hackett

How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?

Email is my preferred method.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

Numerous Nikon cameras and lenses, Canon video camera, Adobe Creative Cloud suite (mostly Lightroom), Microsoft Office and Google apps.

What's your favorite social network?

Twitter, by far.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

My high school didn't have a newspaper, but I took yearbook (it was a class) for two years, and paginated much of the sports section.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

Somewhere with a camera up to my eye.
