CHICAGO (WGN) — Seven people were injured in two separate shootings early Sunday morning during a large gathering in Garfield Park on Chicago’s West Side. Chicago police said the first shooting happened just before 1:30 a.m. in the 3800 block of West Maypole Avenue, during which a 17-year-old female was shot in the chest and taken to an area hospital in critical condition. Then, just about 10 minutes later, another round of gunfire erupted on the same block.
