Interference control of coherent perfect absorption in a driven three-level atom inside the cavity with parametric amplification
We investigate coherent perfect absorption (CPA) and electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) in a cavity QED system that includes a degenerate optical parametric amplifier (OPA). We derive the condition for CPA and identify two distinct regimes controlled by the control laser. When the control laser is resonant and induces EIT, DQI suppresses CPA, thereby making the system a near-perfect transmitter.
Complex dissipation coupling engineered photon blockade with a microresonator waveguide
Photon blockade is a single-photon generation method based on strong nonlinearities. In this Letter, we propose a system with emission and pumping modes to realize photon blockade by a microring resonator-waveguide system. We find that Friedrich–Wintgen bound states in the continuum (BICs) emerge from destructive quantum interference by engineering complex dissipation coupling.
Corrosion evolution of 316L stainless steel after ultrasonic severe surface rolling and laser shock peening processing
Corrosion evolution of 316L stainless steel after ultrasonic severe surface rolling and laser shock peening processing • None Laser shock peening promoted to form smaller grains in 316L stainless steel than ultrasonic severe surface rolling; Laser shock peening induced smaller grain size than ultrasonic severe surface rolling for 316L stainless steel. Furthermore, laser shock peening processing facilitated to induce more strain induced α′-martensites.

Numerical simulation and testing of laser-MIG hybrid-welding angle-structure sheets
Abstract Numerical simulation and experimental investigation of laser-MIG hybrid angle-welding low-carbon 1.5-mm-thin SPCC steel sheets are presented in this work. The transient simulation analysis provides an access to the thermal-fluid phenomena prediction by employing a hybrid three-dimensional heat source model. Special attention is paid to the melt dynamic behaviors within the triangular molten pool affected by the Marangoni convection.
M110 A NOVEL SERPING1 MUTATION IN A CASE OF HEREDITARY ANGIOEDEMA
Hereditary Angioedema is described as periodic, self-limiting subcutaneous or submucosal edema without urticaria that can affect any part of the body caused by a deficiency of functional C1 esterase inhibitor. The SERPING1 gene governs the production of C1 inhibitor and mutations may lead to low levels or low function C1 esterase inhibitor.
