What was your first job as a journalist?
I guess it would be editing my college magazine a very long time ago. Life took me on a very different path, but I'm back to writing now.
Have you ever used a typewriter?
Yes! My mum had one kicking around and I tried it out because I love writing, but hate writing by hand.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
An email or a DM on Twitter. I work at all kinds of odd hours due to my health issues, so talking in real time can be tricky.
What's your favorite social network?
Discord. I like being part of smaller communities with shared interests. It takes me back to my forum days.
What's your favorite drink?
Hot drinks? Coffee. Alcoholic, I like a good rum. As for soft drinks, I really like root beer, but getting decent root beer here is tricky.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
That playing games isn't work. Anything you enjoy doing can become a chore if you're obligated to do it, even when it isn't fun.
